Price of commercial rice down
|
|
 |
|
As NFA started to release more rice into the
accredited outlets, the price of commercial rice at Dipolog Central market
was going down.
Dipolog City Mayor Evelyn Uy reported to the
Task Force Bigasan during its recent meeting that the city government had
adopted measures so that unscrupulous commercial rice dealers could not
possibly sell NFA rice as commercial rice.

The National Food
Authority found that the suspected rice hoarders who held more than 700
sacks of NFA rice were only guilty of 3 violations: no license to sell, no
permit to transport, no license to stock the grains in the warehouse.
No violation of
hoarding, whatsoever.
The legal counsel of NFA
believed the suspects could not be charged of hoarding despite the number
of bags because they did not hide the supply. Instead, they were about to
transport the rice to Cebu to sell them.

Strength and Conditioning Training – a must |
|
 |
|
I never thought training
would this be hard – and frankly speaking, never in my wildest dreams,
this much fun!
|
 |
|
“Former Mayor Roberto Y.
Uy takes time to pose with coaches and teachers who participated in
the “Strength and Conditioning Training” conducted by Athletes in
Action Philippines last July 18-21 at the Galas Gym. Internationally
recognized trainers, Coach Craig Schink and Coach Paul Bradley
Donelson, were on hand to facilitate the training. Also present was
Talk N’ Text of the PBA Assistant Coach Nash Racela. |
Before, I thought
exercises and drills were just to loosen you up before actual games. Now,
I was taught how to make these drills increase my speed and improve my
agility using plyometrics, rotational training and energy system
development workouts.
